The 1977 British Lions faced a tougher test of strength and determination than had any other previous Lions touring party. Following the triumphant 1971 New Zealand tour, and the unbeaten march through South Africa in 1974, the 1977 team carried the strong reputation of British rugby on their shoulders, and they faced an All Black side anxious to wipe out the memory of their 3-1 defeat by South Africa in 1976.
An excellent book about an excellent tour.
